A.P. Møller Fonden

It was a donation in the spring of 2015 from the A.P. Møller Foundation and Nordea-fonden that ensured that the Scouts were given Middelgrundsfortet so they could be in charge of transforming the former sea fort into a youth island for all of Denmark's youth.

The two foundations each donated 10 million DKK to purchase the island and were therefore the essential cornerstones that made the project possible, which today is in rapid development.

Nordea-fonden

It was a donation in the spring of 2015 from the A.P. Møller Foundation and Nordea-fonden that ensured that the Scouts were awarded Middelgrundsfortet and could therefore be in charge of transforming the former sea fort into a youth island for young people, where they can develop and host youth activities.

The two foundations each donated 10 million DKK to the purchase of the island and were therefore the essential cornerstones that made possible the project of Youth Island.

In addition, Nordea-fonden donated 120 million DKK in October 2016 to the realisation and operation of Ungdomsøen.

Lauritzen Fonden

Lauritzen Fonden has supported our Give-A-Year method, where a group of young people physically move into the Youth Island. Lauritzen Fonden supported the initial phase of the Give-A-Year project with 2.2 million DKK and supports the further development and dissemination of the Give-A-Year method with 2.5 million DKK.

Tuborgfondet

The Tuborg Foundation also supports the development of our Give-A-Year method, where young people physically move into the organisation. The Tuborg Foundation has supported the Give-A-Year project with 4 million DKK, thereby supporting the further development and dissemination of the Give-A-Year method to other organisations.

Københavns Kommune

The Copenhagen municipality supports Ungdomsøen with 1.8 million DKK a year until 2025. They do this to increase the well-being of young Copenhageners who can use the island as a get-away.
The Copenhagen municipality pays, among other things, for free accommodation on the island for young Copenhageners, art retreats for young creative Copenhageners and camps for young people in residential areas.

TrygFonden

TrygFonden has awarded a grant of 435.500 DKK which means that over a four-year period from 2020 to 2024, we can offer the island's young people to train their first aid skills so that the island becomes as safe as possible for all of us
